The mysterious people of the Envira region of the Brazilian-Peruvian frontier. They're thought to have NEVER made contact with civilization as we know it and to them, the strange craft hovering above could well be an Evil Spirit. More from Mail Online>>

Life explained.
A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.
"Not very long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.
The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life."
The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you! You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.
"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my friend, that's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."
And the moral of this story is: ......... Know where you're going in life... you may already be there.

Australia 2020 Forum.
I'm a little excited by the 2020 Forum coming up at the end of April. If you want to get involved. you don't have to be there or be an official delegate. Simply go to GetUp! and post your comment on how you'd like Australia to look in the next few years. Otherwise, read the comments of others and rate them or dump them. The information will then be submitted to the Summit.

Danger, World in Crisis.
The above image is a nice illustration of populations by exploded graph. Available on flickr>>
And here's a world clock you must go see. It continues to count not only the number of births and deaths happening right now, but such morbid things like the rate of injuries, hectares of forest lost, divorces, drownings etc. etc. - all happening right in front of your eyes. Go see>>

The Life Clock.
This Life Clock is measured in years, not minutes and hours. I wonder how I'd go with this on my wall? Would it motivate me more or would I feel like I'm counting down the hours to my inevitable death?...

Quote.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God; your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so others won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in EVERYONE. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

AQAL or a Map of the Human Experience.
This is an updated version of Ken Wilbers AQAL (All Quadrants All Levels) Map which may well be the best theory to date that outlines all dimensions of the human experience. And it's all nicely laid out in a free download available from Formless Mountain.

The Death of the Mythic God.
Article by Carter Phipps at What is Enlightenment Magazine
“God is dead. And we have killed him,” wrote Friedrich Nietzsche in his most famous work, Thus Spake Zarathustra. That statement coincided with the beginning of a century of religious upheaval unprecedented in human history. Only three generations after those words were published, the religious make-up of Western culture is almost unrecognizable from the way it looked when Nietzsche penned his declaration. In Europe, traditional forms of Christianity have plummeted in popularity, and many churches and synagogues are becoming monuments to a bygone age. And in the United States, a rapid decrease in adherence to Catholicism and traditional Protestant denominations combined with a rapid rise in nontraditional forms of Christianity, particularly Evangelicalism and Pentecostalism, has left social scientists struggling to keep up with the changes. Moreover, there has been an explosion in nontraditional forms of spirituality. New religious movements, New Age philosophies, and transplanted Eastern religions have all attracted millions and millions of the so-called spiritual but not religious contingent of the Western population Read More>>
